Φαία Πέτρα, ώρα 00.00, μερικά μέτρα πιο πάνω από το μοναστήρι. Απόλυτο σκοτάδι, καθαρός ουρανος, χωρίς φεγγάρι. Ιδανικές συνθήκες για να φανεί καθαρά ο έναστρος ουρανός και η ζώνη του γαλαξία!

Κυριακή 12 Αυγούστου το βράδυ, τα σύννεφα έφυγαν και βγήκαμε κάπως μακριά από τα φώτα της πόλης για να παρακολουθήσουμε τις “Περσίδες”, το φαινόμενο των διαττόντων αστέρων. Στή μια φωτό φαίνεται, αμυδρά πάνω αριστερά, ό,τι μπόρεσε να καταγράψει η μηχανή από την “πτώση” ενός αστεριού. Στην άλλη η γραμμή του γαλαξία.
Macro photography. Reversed lense (Canon EF 50mm ƒ/1.8 II stoped down to ƒ/11) attached in front of the EF 85mm ƒ/1.8 screwed on the camera aperture wide open. Flash Canon 430EX II with a white piece of paper tied on top of it, in order to reflect the light downwards 3~4cm in front of the lens where the focus point is. The result is a good enough image quality and lighting.
